3rd Time Question- ANYWAY TO VIEW G-Force with glasses etc??

Post by candence »

Hi all,

Don't mean to be asking repetitive "un-answerable questions" here. I'm thinking maybe I'm just asking the wrong way so I'll try a different "wording" --- Is there ANYONE HERE who knows of a way for me to view G-Force visuals and music (using WMP 10) with headgear, glasses, goggles or anything ELSE I haven't thought of?

What I want to do is be able to sit back comfortably (on bed, chair...) and not only view G-Force but also have the controls i.e., WMP controls to change music settings and G-Force toolbar controls to change animations etc. To ....SOMEHOW...SOMEWAY....not have to have to be sitting right in front of my PC screen to view and to monitor controls????

I use this to meditate and just plain relax to, not to mention hours of fun using the toolbar to get just the right colors, flowfieds, and waveshapes that I like. I have been able to use a "split type" cable between PC and TV so now I can view G-Force on TV but I'm still limited in that I can't be too far from PC or TV to see visuals and ESPECIALLY to change settings on that TINY BLACK FONT ON BLUE BACKGROUND on the toolbar....which BTW...I'm HOPING ONE DAY TO BE ABLE TO SEE THE DARN THING with much bigger font, hint! hint!! I can now see G-Force on my MUCH BIGGER TV screen BUT have to GET UP AND PUT MY NOSE TO THE SCREEN just to see the toolbar controls!

There's just GOT TO BE A WAY to do this! Gamers are doing this and more incredible things all the time! Why can't I put on a helmet or goggles and have controls at my fingertips while viewing a huge theater sized 3-D super sonic turbo charged G-Force too!!!!!! Or ANYTHING REMOTELY like that.. .????? Can I do it with those iGlasses??? Is there anything else better?

PLEASE ALL YOU DEAR FOLK HERE ON G-FORCE FORUM----I'M OPEN TO ANYTHING AT THIS POINT.....I absolutely LOVE G-Force and it's driving me nuts knowing that if I only had a techie's knowledge, I could've already solved this prob. for myself....either by stringing something together for a solution OR by having the knowledge that "it just plain won't work" therebyletting go of this obsession!

There's only two things I'd like to avoid if possible (but am willing to put up with, if no other way) and that is a "flickering screen" or headgear that's so heavy as to be uncomfortable on the head. I'm wanting to sit/lay back and have the G-Force "where I am" instead of wherever my PC happens to be. IS THIS POSSIBLE? If not, is it likely to be possible in the future???? Or is it just too complicated or is there just too little demand for it to manifest the way lil ole me wants it too??

Thanks for everything! I don't mean to sound unappreciative....I can't even remember my life before G-Force!!! I love it sooooooooo much...

candence,

I'm not technically advanced myself, I'm staring at a vacuum tube. But to answer your answerable question I found these 2 links.

If you pursue please let us know how things work out.

Ouch! I just noticed the price tag. I'll be staring at a vacuum tube for some time to come.

those things look a bit expensive for a 800x600 resolution...
but hey, G-Force in 800x600 is great!

cadence: about the size of things on your tv, what resolution are you using for the tv?
try a lower resolution, that will certainly help as anyway the signal is shrimmed to tv resolution. The desktop area will be reduced but that's not a problem to you if you're only running G-Force on it and things like icons and text will look bigger.

You can control G-force through keybord shortcuts and scripts so a wireless keyboard/mouse could be great in that case. Hit the "H" key to see a list of the main supported shortcuts. Or mouse to use the toolbar once your visibility problem is solved. At least with the mouse you know where the 3 buttons are when in the dark ;o)

have you thought of a beamer?
you could have a large image in good resolution on a wall or ceiling, plus use it as well for home cinema

Don't hesitate to share your experience once you've optimized what you wanted ;o)
