Hi, newbie (to forums) here, a few questions......???

Post by candence »

Hi,

I signed up for G-Force a few months ago and have been obsessed with it ever since! I've had a lot of questions that I was, frankly, too intimidated to post here, everyone seems WAY over my head. I don't know how to program or anything. Finally I got frustrated enough to get on here and ask you all some questions. One I know I saw somewhere here but I can't find it now. Okay:
1) how can I get the G-Force name to quit popping up on my screen periodically while watching visuals?

2) why is it, everytime I bring up the toolbar, lately, it's got a thing on top saying "a new version of G-Force is now available"--at first I excitedly went to the website to get the new version (I have platinum) but there's no new version that I can see?

3) Now this question is one I actually asked the contact info on G-Force when I first fell in love with it.....but he didn't really know, so I thought "maybe" someone on this board with all the technical skills I see here--- will know something to tell me. Is anyone here familiar with those "light and sound machines"? I ask because I tried one once and it just didn't work for me. I hate a flickering strobe effect, makes me very nervous and agitated. Although I love staring into a fire. Then when I discovered G-Force, I ABSOLUTELY HAD TO USE it everytime I meditated or just needed to relax with some creative visualiztion CD's.

Here's the problem---Is there ANY WAY I can use G-Force Visuals with goggles or anything, to see it with my eyes CLOSED???? I know the light and sound machines use the strobe thing to penetrate the eyelid but do ANY OF YOU HAVE ANY IDEA how that might be done with G-Force? Instead of being thrown into a panic attack with that darn flickering strobe effect piercing my eyes....I'd MUCH rather be seeing the smooth morphing in and out of G-Force visuals. ESPECIALLY now that I have some control over it with the toolbar! It's WONDERFUL! But I've literally pulled my PC (on it's stand) as close to my bed as possible so as to kick back and relax with music and G-Force. This makes for a lot of tripping over myself, computer, and wires, not to mention knocking things over---because it's quite crowded like this!

I really wanted a tablet PC but my husband had just ordered a new Dell desk PC which was "on it's way" and believe it or not, they wouldn't let me exchange it, (still in the box) for a more "expensive" tablet PC. Otherwise at least I could've had the tablet in the bed, on the couch, wherever.....but that still doesn't help when my eyes are tired and I'm forcing them open to see visuals that I'm JUST SURE SOMEBODY--SOMEWHERE KNOWS how to see G-Force just like those light/sound machines but without all that INTENSE FLICKERING EFFECT!

Excuse my imperfect grammar and especially my digital technology ignorance. Like I said, this forum seems to be mostly people who are so far over my head that I've actually let "embarrasment" keep me from asking questions I REALLY wanted answers to. So, I just had to "get out of my own way"! and DO IT!

Thanks
G-FORCE RULES!!!!!!!

#1 - just delete the file named G-Force Watermark.jpg from the G-Force\Sprites\(Auto Backgrounds)\ folder.

#2 - there was a new version released just in the past few days. 3.0.1. you can download it here: http://www.soundspectrum.com/support/do ... ducts.html

you will need your license code to download it.

#3 - you're not going to like my answer. sound and light machines work because the bright light from the leds passes through your eyelids. if you're getting freaked out by the strobing effect, you need to turn down the intensity and avoid the specific frequencies that are causing you problems. there's no display in the world that's going to project g-force's stunning visuals through your eyelids. the closest you're going to come is to use a head-mounted lcd display, but then you will need to keep your eyes open. these things aren't cheap:

Thank you SOOO much for replying to my message! I was beginning to think nobody would reply at all. At least now I know how to get the G-Force mark off my visuals AND I know there REALLY is a newer version I can download---can't wait to start playing with it :)

And finally the answer you didn't think I'd like, regarding "seeing G-Force through eyelids like light/sound machines"-- I REALLY DID APPRECIATE your answer because for once someone not only told me "it can't be done" but actually explained WHY it can't be done. I'm much more satisfied with that answer -- makes it easier to quit obsessing over (:>0)~~~

So, again, a BIG THANK YOU!!!!! especially for taking the time. I was a bit embarassed to begin with and when I saw no replies....my head was going deeper into the sand.

warmly,
candence

to "realitybytez" (again)

just had to write you back again. I replied to your message without clicking on the link to the i-glasses store and when I did...WOW! WOW AND MORE WOW! I'm blown away, didn't know these things were being sold. And boy, you're not KIDDING about how EXPENSIVE they are---but just knowing they're there is thrilling. At least I can dream and who knows? maybe a GREAT christmas present :)

they said when you have them on it "looks" like you're viewing a regular theater type image, I can't even IMAGINE IT! I gotta try one of these babies...is there anywhere people like me can go to "try one out"? or for that matter "other electronic gadgets" BEFORE buying? ex: I'd also like to "feel a tablet pc in my hands" to see how it feels working but have no idea where to go to do something like this????

...back to "i-glasses" subject.....I WOULD LOVE to see what G-Force looks like with THAT headgear on!!!! Even if I can't close my eyes :)
