Screen saver and Windows Group Policy edits
Hi Sound Spectrum guys n gals. I am trying to set my Windows 10 group policy editor so that when I change a theme it does not reset my screen saver selection (which ALWAYS happens). This function is permitted, but I do not know what the G-Force screen saver executable name or location is to complete the policy edit. Can this be provided? Thanks.
Hello TopQuark
Having no experience of Windows 10 your best bet would be to contact SoundSpectrum by clicking on the link below.

It seemed a simple enough question to just get an answer here, since it would prove useful to others as well. And it isn't just a windows 10 thing. Any time a different theme is selected on any OS from 7 on up, it disables the screen saver. But is can be prevented in the group policy settings pages. I simply need to know what the name of the .scr file is. In previous versions it was in the System32 subdirectory IIRC. Ooops! Just found it. It was there the whole time.BTT wrote:Hello TopQuark

If BTT directed you to the support page it's because he didn't have the answer.TopQuark wrote:It seemed a simple enough question to just get an answer here, since it would prove useful to others as well. The question isn't that easy if you aren't running windows 10. I doubt BTT has done the upgrade yet and neither have I so we could not really give you an answer. We don't work directly for soundspectrum, we just volunteer here in the forum, we spend a lot of time trying to give people answers to their questions and we never just refer people the support page for the hell of it.
Glad you were able to find what you wanted.
Hello Frank
I did reply to TopQuark's post suggesting he/she contact you.

Re: Screen saver and Windows Group Policy edits
For anybody wondering, the G-Force screensaver (as of v5.4.3) is named G-Force.scr and is located in %windir%\system32\TopQuark wrote:Hi Sound Spectrum guys n gals. Bonus Info: The GPO for forcing a specific screensaver can be found in User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Personalization
