The current G-Force beta period is over and G-Force 5.3 has been officially released. It can be downloaded via the usual method:

How do I get help in resolving a problem? Support cannot help me. For the first time after years of using G-Force, dowloading freezes G-Force in all players plus standalone plus screensaver. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Gregory2001

Not sure if you mean the download of G-Force freezes or if you mean when running G-Force while downloading another program causes G-Force to freeze.

What information did SoundSpectrum support give you?

SoundSpectrum would have given you a support ticket number, could you post that number here please.

G-Force downloads fine. Starting G-Force, after installation, shows the splash screen, then freeze. Thanks.

Windows 7x64. I've been using G-Force for years and never have had a problem until now. The only thing I can think of is a possible Windows update problem.

Hi Gregory

I am also on windows 7x64. I updated my windows last week and right now there are no new updates so my comp has all the same updated files as yours does. I do not think that updating windows would effect G-force.

Try uninstalling, delete all previous folders and prefs files. Do a fresh install and reboot. If you are still having this problem then I suspect that there is an issue with your graphics settings or card itself.

Aside from that, have you installed any other new programs that may conflict with G-force?

Done. Deleting all of the G-Force folders worked. Thank you very much.

Me too, especially considering during the beta testing I found that new Nvidia drivers for my PC Graphics Card combined with the major rebuild of G-force coding all in python that G-force now works in 3D via Nvidia 3D TV Play, I presume also in 3D Nvidia Stereoscopic on a 120Hz monitor

The colours are amazing also in 3d, and it outshines 2d but is limited to 720p resolution so that i can maintain a 60hz refresh rate, otherwise I have the option like 3D Blu-Ray discs use, 1920x1080p but restricted to a 24Hertz display Refresh rate which limits the frame-rate to 24 frames per second in turn.

For G-force in 3D the depth of field is middle range so maybe that could be improved if deemed worthy to maximize the inside behind depth and the 'pop-out of screen and swipe your nose' depth I experience in AEON using 3D, like a z-index layering system commonly used in HTML coding.

P.S I'm using a Core2Quad Q6600, 8 Gigs of Motherboard RAM, Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit, 120GB SSD and Nvidia GTX660Ti 2GB and a Sony 55 inch Bravia HDTV via HDMI.

Cheers, thankyou Andy, Soundspectrum and our Forum Moderator volunteers

Alf :) 8)

Hello ozbeats

Every time you post your PC specs you make me feel so envious, if the day ever comes when you no longer have a use for your system I will arrange for collection from yours to mine.

Enjoy all SoundSpectrum programs.
