Info about G-Force 3 ?

Post by CDvd »

I noticed on the main page a reference to G-Force 3...
I searched but was unable to find any info on that.

Where can I find info about the beta 3 ?
I would like to know if (as a gold user) it's possible to participate to the beta testing ?

Thanks,
David.

All ya gotta do is send Andy an email indicating that you would like to be a beta tester, but you can't say "I wanna test this, but not that!". You are either a tester or not a tester. I have been doing it for almost a year, and it's not too tedious of a job. BTW G-Force-3 is not yet out for beta testing, so you still have time to get in line.
Take care.

Living in danger does not affraid me - I mean computer wise :)
and if Andy need more testers, you can count me on.

David.

I wonder if you get paid for it, or if its just off you free will.

All the beta testing I've ever encountered does not pay the testers.

It is voluntary, to report any bugs so the developers can fix them before the final release. It is the testers that really help to prevent problems with the finished product.

Of course, there might be payment for testing, but I've never encountered that.

I can't believe it! People think they should be paid for watching G-Force?

No! It is not a paying job. If you don't want to do it, don't offer to test. I, however, get a kick out of knowing that I did my little tiny bit to try to make G-Force more enjoyable for everyone... but that's my thing, not yours.
Take care,

I hope you wasn't referring to me. I never expect to get paid for beta testing.

Beta testing is a good way to try something new for free, before anyone else gets it.

Without beta testers, there would be a lot more bugs in final releases of software, or at least it would delay the release until to developers searched for the bugs.

Sticking in my fat head for a minute...

As has ben mentioned, is is a great thing that Andy's decided to go the ß-testing route. I recall before this was done that pre-release after pre-release would just simply be put on the public block.

Of course, this slowed the development of official releases and certainly had to put off alot of folks. And that's to say nothing of how often this risked putting other behind-the-scenes activity to a grinding halt.

I encourage more people to look into beta testing so that GF 3 for all versions can come out sooner.

I've send a email to andy and I'm waiting for a answer (and my paycheck)
Thanks toby.

(Joking for the paycheck, I never said or though of being paid for that ;))

Hey David,
You probably won't hear back from him until you get an email saying you're on the beta test list wnd that the software is located at xxx and the login is yyy and password is zzz, so just kinda stand by. Andy really is a busy kinda guy, though he has or is getting close to separating from the submarine navy. The G-Force side of things might start to pop a little faster.
Take care.
