Thanks BTT,

However I found that it must be intermittent, not sure why it didn't show before but its there as a option today... only after a shut down and then powering it back on hours later...... go figure :? ... coz I can't work that one out! :D

Cheers, from Alf

Hey folks, I posted a new GF beta (but didn't sent an email out).

There's a couple things with the toolbar i want to get to before release and I still need to add config submissions, but codewise we're pretty mucb at code complete.

i'd love for GF fans here to help think of or even create some config categories and theme concepts and submit them. take a look at how it's done in Aeon and that should offer ideas on directions to go. since the GF docs aren't updated, learn about categories and themes by reading the in-product help closely and the customizing section of aeon (the same applies for GF5):

Applies to Platinum users only.

To register for BETA testing click on the link below:-

http://www.soundspectrum.com/support/beta_list.html

Whilst your there you will be able to download the latest beta 5b3 - Just a word of warning, before you install the beta version of G-Force make sure you back-up your current version, all the Folders with WaveShapes, FlowFields etc.

Regards BTT
Thanks for the link to the Beta. You'd already responded to my inquiry about issues with 4.4 - http://www.soundspectrum-forums.com/vie ... highlight=

My license expires tomorrow and I was hoping version 5 was going to come out before the end of the year to rectify the bugs in 4.4: "December 5, 2012... Look out for G-Force 5 And WhiteCap 5.8 before the holidays and see the Aeon version history for what's new!"

Well obviously that didn't happen, but hopefully it will happen soon.

Regards

Hi Andy and SS Team,

Tried downloading the G-force 5 beta 4 version several times, still getting the beta 3 version instead, please re-confirm that the latest release is available on the soundspectrum.com licensed member servers

Also, replaced my regular 1tb hdd with a solid disk drive, and having lots of issues and no resolve in getting the g-force toolbar to work with g-force 4.4 and 5.b3 in a standalone 64 bit instance. The 32-bit version is fine and loads the configs, but the 64 bit version is blank....

Maybe a patch that clearly defines and is solidly integrated that communicates to the file system the 32-bit and 64-bit instances must use the same g-force toolbar, p.s this is known to cause a crash on windows media center too at present when attempting to load the toolbar whilst WMC on Windows 8 Pro 64-bit is operational with G-force running...WMC crashes.

Any ideas, identical issues or workarounds are welcome... :D

Thanks, sincerely hoping these issues will be resolved in full.

Hi
This is also the same for me. :( Maybe Andy 's getting forgetful in his old age :)

I had the same problem about two years ago...I kept forgetting loads of stuff, the wife got so fed up, she sent me to the doctor, when I got there, he said "Morning Mr Way, what seems to be the trouble"?....I said, "I'm not sure, I can't remember"!!
A little off topic...Sorry!

UPDATE: January 23rd 2013...

My issue with G-force toolbar resolved by re-installing the same beta version over itself again, and also because I changed from using windows firewall and windows defender (built into all windows 8 operating systems as default antivirus solution)... they must block programmatic communication, changed it to Norton 360 on my Win 8 Pro x64 OS

Windows Media Center GF toolbar issue still present (since Win 7 pre SP1), as is program hang when exiting whilts visualizers are activated and running onscreen. Needs smoother process exiting dismount to match WMC

Keen to try G-force 5.0 beta 4 version once it is finally available on the servers.... also awaiting a license key install max limit count reset and have an active ticket with SS support to handle that even though it has been 72 hours during business weekdays... Hope this can be given a boost too!

Thanks from Alf in Australia :D

Hello ozbeats

We are aware Andy has posted the wrong beta version of G-Force. He is I believe away for a few days so we will all have to await his return.

If you post the support ticket number regarding you exceeding your install maximum limit I will probably be able to help you.

(Win/Mac??) GF5.0b4 is now posted (It also seems like the exit full screen is not exactly the same as 5.0b3 - Shift/Alt-Enter, as documented seems to work. Esc-Esc may also work... maybe).
[Update - I AM having trouble exitting full screen under certain circumstances...]

Forget about 64bit/toolbar... at least for this beta

Hi Jerohm,

I am lucky enough to have the G-force 64-bit toolbar working, for the standalone - this only worked for me after using Norton with its own auto firewall detection, only then it worked when I went back to windows firewall, and works with trend micro too, however it still wont work and crashes Windows Media Center when opened separately.

I'm running Windows 8 Professional 64-bit with Windows Media Center

Hope this helps,

Cheers 8)
