Thanks BTT, have sent questions to that support link already.

I'm really getting tired of paying for an upgrade to fix major bugs...especially when they pop up 3 months before my license is up(been working fine for 9 months!).
This issue was known back in April...why no fix yet?

That will be $90 for 3 different versions I was forced into purchasing when I had no intention of upgrading to. There were no new features to upgrade for.
I don't mean to rant here,or to you BTT, but I find this a suspicious way of doing business. It just looks bad.

The only way to stop the locking is:
1) Shut down your pc...restart will not stop the locking. Logging back into the pc without shutting off will just result in the situation getting worse.
At one point I was locked out 6 times in about 3 minuets.

2) Not using G Force at all.

I am looking forward to Soundspectrum making it up to us customers who've been affected by this terrible situation and hope that we will not have to PAY for this bug fix when there licenses are up soon.

Hello trc2932

Are you saying that you have contacted SoundSpectrum Support and have not received replies?. If so would you happen to have the Support Ticket number that would have been given in their automated reply?.

To BTT...
yes, I have not received a reply from soundspectrum on this issue for 10 days now...far longer than the 24 to 48 hours to reply as stated by soundspectrum when creating a support ticket!
Such a shame, I thought that this problem would of been fixed by now and offered to us customers.

@trc2932

To stop the locking all you need to do is after running GF WC or AEON open up the screen saver settings change anything hit apply and close. Now it wont lock.

You have to do this every time but it works.
You can also disable the screen saver completely and it will never happen.
I have verified this with all 3 of them and its always the case.

They are aware of the issue, Seeing as Windows 7 is now more then 50% of the market share of windows users I hope it gets fixed soon.

@ DireWolf...I do not run screensavers at all, been disabled sense I installed Win7 2 years ago. The latest version of gforce has run just fine without ANY problems for the first 9 months. This locking out problem didn't start until 3+ months ago. I find this suspicious!!! 3 months before my license expires!

@ BTT...still no response from soundspectrum...support sucks here.
What also sucks, is that I'll have to spend money for another bug fix upgrade.
Then again...I may not.
Rant not directed towards you BTT, you have been very helpful.
Thanks for the help anyways BTT.

@ soundspectrum...are you guys that poor that you feel the need to con me out of another $30?
Of course I won't expect a reply...I have not received a reply from my june 27 support request yet.
Shameful way of doing business.

New customers...BEWARE!

your (couph couph) "suspicions" are completely unfounded. I have been using G-Force since it came out ! I have lived through many a percieved bug only to find out its not the fault of G-force.

I run windows 7 and G-force hasnt locked my computer yet.

There is no concspiracy regarding G-force being timed to "stop working" .

I am however now onboard with you when it comes to not getting a responce from SS.

I know there was a spate of spam attacks but that doesnt mean BTT's emails or mine shouldnt have been answered. I sent Andy am email letting him know that there are forum members who arent happy with the support and asked him to check in here more often but havent heard back yet. :x

I dont think you are being robbed, the fact is G-force works fine on computers right out of the box. Only those people who have changed their windows settings for what ever reason seem to end up having problems with G-force.

@ juxtiphi...
"I have been using G-Force since it came out ! I have lived through many a percieved bug only to find out its not the fault of G-force. "...simply not true, previous version had display issues, which is the only reason I UPGRADED to present version.

"I run windows 7 and G-force hasnt locked my computer yet"...me too up until 3 months ago...no hardware or OS settings changes...NONE AT ALL...yet here I am.

"There is no concspiracy regarding G-force being timed to "stop working" .
Prove it! What facts do you have? After all, I must connect to soundspectrum in order to have gforce to work properly! May be if I wasn't forced to do this, I probably be less suspicious. Again....it did work fine for 9 months, no issues.

"Only those people who have changed their windows settings for what ever reason seem to end up having problems with G-force."
Again, prove it...what exactly which OS settings that are changed, result in our PC's getting locked out? I have been using a computer for 15 years now,100's of software programs, Win95 through Win7, and have NEVER SEEN THIS ISSUE! I ask again...what windows settings changes cause this Lock Out bug???

I find BTT's tone more helpful and understanding that yours juxtiphi.
Looking forward to your answers...based on FACTS please!

right and I just started using a computer yesterday.

what you dont get is that I told you simple truth, G-force works on my windows 7 computer which makes me believe that there is something wrong with your computer but you simply dont know it.

computers can have problems that the user doesnt even know about until you want to watch a video or play music or even use a screen saver.

I said I was onboard with your problem with soundspectrum not returning your emails for support but I still say there is no conspiracy to rob you.

If it turns out you are correct which I highly doubt I will leave this board tomorro because I would not support such a company if it were proven that they dont care about there customers and routinely rob them .

ps. coincidentally enough in another forum I had a discussion about index markers that leave a tiny digi click at the beginning of an audio track .

it was this persons contention that there were no clicks and he said he had 15 years experience editing sound files.

Even after 15 years he has no idea what he is talking about.
this person had no idea what he was talking about

Hello All

Let's all take a deep breath....

SoundSpectrum have posted the following......which states it is a Windows 7 issue:-
sitsparky wrote:Hello all. Yes, this is strictly a Windows 7 issue and we are very aware of it. We have a few bug reports open for our current versions which will hopefully be addressed in our next round of releases, and this particular issue is something we have been looking into for awhile. I apologize for any inconvenience, though we do appreciate your patience in this matter. Unfortunately, I cannot give any workarounds our easy manual fixes at this time, but if something does come my way before our next round of updates I will make sure to share this information with you.

If its a windows 7 bug why doesnt it happen on my computer?

And no mention of the spotty support! I personally would like a detailed explanation that I can point to when people say SS isnt treating me right.
