I dont know what thread its in but andy did mention why darkroom was being delayed, it was a long time ago and I cant remember what it was.
FREE is nice, but not really a reason to turn your back on the Soundspectrum offerings IMO. When GF4 gets a few more of the wrinkles ironed out, it promises to be a significant upgrade for those with multi-core CPUs.
For ME (anyway), it is pretty hard to get excited about putting too much effort into a METOO solution. Of course I am speaking from a Win32 perspective, and although FRAPS isn't perfect, it does what it is suppose to ... pretty damn good, I might add... but for a cost ($). Besides, it IS FREE if you are only using it as a diagnostic tool.
I feel the same way about 'Virtual Cable' ... not that everybody needs it, but also probably worth the cost ($)
