graphics card question

Post by matrix64015 »

Would a 512 MB graphics card be plenty to run G-Force onto a plasma TV? Or should I get a 1 GB card instead? Also any brands to avoid or buy or other things I should be aware of? Thanks guys! :?

I have a nvidia 9600 GT, it has 512 mbs and I have it connected to my 43 inch lcd. G-Force runs very well on my machine as long as I am not doing anything else at the time. if I am tasking while running GF some times it bogs a nit but nothing to terrible.

juxtiphi, at what resolution are you running G-Force?

It depends on what Im doing some times I run it at 1080 and others I run it at 800.
both resolutions look pretty much the same, I would say 512 is the minimum.

SoundSpectrum products generally aren't texture memory hungry (256 megs is plenty), however, it's the performance of the graphics hardware that matters.

G-Force 4 is right around the corner and offers some nice performance enhancements on the CPU side, but GPU performance will directly affect what kind of frame rates you'll get at higher resolutions.
