So the only way to get full screen with G-Force is to run it from itunes, but of course then you don't really get full screen as there is no way to change the dimensions. You just get a horizontal version that doesn't match up with the screen, hence the need to run it in standalone so I can match the resolution the best, plus run it in full screen mode and have the other monitor avail. (It blacks out the other monitor when going full screen from itunes).
Stop using itunes and give J River Media Center a try. I use it with G-Force in a multimonitor system (one monitor is a projector in my living room). It doesn't have any of the problems you've described with itunes.

They have a free trial.

They also a another version called Media Jukebox which is 100% free, it too may solve your dilemma.

What G-Force 4? Gimme Gimme flaws

Post by ozbeats »

I've been a Loyal Soundspectrum member for over 5 years or more

Now Regarding G-force platinum,

Some are probably wondering when will gforce 4 be released, since there is not even beta testing yet at all for any new versions of anything SS, dec 2009? jan 2010? feb 2010? march 2010?

WE should really protest and run a raffle, if you get a reply from support, an extra half a ticket!

Ive used it on xp home and xp pro 32 bit

Ive used it on Vista Ultmate 32 Bit

I'm now running G-Force on a HP Pavillion a6160a
Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit an NOW 64 Bit
512 MB Nvidia 9800GTX+ (with new drivers almost monthly: www.nvidia.com )
For System Random Access Memory i use 4GB (soon to be 8gb) RAM
23" Samsung SyncMaster 2333 (60 hertz)
Nvidia Ge-Force graphics cards can now also run 3d Discover or 3d Vision (i think its models 8600 and above)

Hoenstly his forum is littered with critical bugs, errors and people experiencing problems, the fact G-force does not fully work with windows 7 media center on my pc is enough to make me frustrated., as a paying platinum customer of all three products (whitecap + g-force + softskies)

But when you see for weeks and weeks on end here in the forum that many (if not dozens or hundreds) have problems with G-Force now using Itunes, Snow Leopard updates making g-force incompatible and WinAMP newer release versions plugin imcompatibility, we must all begin to wonder (what exactly do they define as a years worth of free updates - refer to the version histories and the last 12 months were much less official updates compared to all the years before (2005-2008)

Lets all Send them a ticket to support, all at the same time and see if they still have any decency or morale to reply to all licensed customers and potential buyers)

Thanks from Alf ,

Thanks for the suggestion ( :) ) , I can get G-Force to run full screen in Windows Media Player if I get desperate [insert puke emoticon here] but I am mostly concerned with the standalone functionality. But even in WMP, G-Force doesn't fill the screen in full screen mode (one of the problems running it in itunes). It only fills about 3/4 of the screen vertically and there is no way to change those settings to my knowledge. I think the bigger issue is getting the program to run in standalone mode the way it does on the past and current x86, past x64 and Mac operating systems.

I reluctantly switched from the old school Musicmatch (before Yahoo screwed it up) to itunes and have taken years building playlists and stuff...so another player change isn't all that appealing. But again, thanks for the suggestion! :)
