Preventing SoundSpectrum Logo in Screen Shots?

Post by ChrisCogan »

I appreciate that SoundSpectrum would want people seeing the SoundSpectrum logo in screen shots from their program. However, having the logo there often detracts from the artistic qualities of the image for other uses (I use them as desktop wallpaper, etc.), so I’m wondering if there is a way to have G-Force do screen-shot captures without the logo embedded in them. I know, the logo can usually be edited out fairly easily, and I can--and do--use a separate screen-capture program to capture the images, but it would be nice not to need to do either of these things.

Well, it's not really a matter as much of SoundSpectrum *wanting* folks to see their logo splashed on the screen as it is one of *needing* to.
In other words, having that logo there is a measure to keep unscrupulous people from taking unwelcome liberties such as software pirating.

I do agree that the current watermark design is too large and visually unappealing. They did have a much smaller/less bulky one that looked more like the company name written in a somewhat hurried shorthand script.

Perhaps if Andy & Co. looked into changing the current watermark into some kind of outlined form?

indeed.

I'm currently knocking together some choice 240 x 400 snapshots with the intention of using them as wallpaper images for my phone.

The watermark is really spoiling some of the results, which I don't mind sharing if anyone is interested?

traditionally, watermarks are something trial users are lumbered with.
as a paid up license holder, I was surprised to see the watermark, and even more surprised to find I couldn't turn it off.

Well, turned out to not be too much of an issue on my Samsung phone as the touch buttons at the bottom mostly hide the water marks anyway. They're all 240 x 400, feel free to right click and save any that take your fancy.
