Fullscreen with 2 Monitors = 1 Black?!

Yes, then that messes up the location of where all my shortcuts on my desktop are located and I have to re-locate them if I do that.

i have the same "problem" with GForce on my iMac (Alu) with an ATI,Radeon HD2600. If i switch to the extended screen mode, i get a black blank screen in iTunes. Only one monitor shows up G-Force. In the Screensaver of OS 10.5 i can setup the second monitor and i get two different visualizations.

If i sync booth monitors, it works perfect (but why not )

Hey, guys! You have to remember something...MOST programs, and probably including Apple's iTunes are NOT setup and/or programmed for a DualView or Second monitor control like the current build of G-Force (Version 3.8.5)! It takes a lot of programming to get the program to operate in two totally unique screen resolutions and settings environments! Most of the time when you have a second screen setup as your Monitor Setting #2 (for most of us it is a TV [HD or otherwise]) you will see it blank, black, or even just showing your favorite Desktop Background, BECAUSE you have not opened your music program, such as iTunes, up on the screen and have being displayed onto your Monitor #2. In other words, you must use the "Send To >>" feature, as with Nvidia's DualView feature. finally, don't forget that when you are doing work on your primary monitor, the Windows' (I don't know about Apple's MAC computers' screensaver feature) OS screensaver time out feature (to invoke G-Force's screensaver) WILL NOT be invoked onto the second monitor because Windows knows that you are working on the Primary monitor and will "ignore" the Second Monitor altogether until work ceases on BOTH monitors.

Unless, there is a software package out there that will let you treat a DualView video card (such as my Nvidia 7600 GS) TRULY as two SEPARATE monitors!

I have tried ALL THREE MODES and yes, I HAVE GOTTEN the BLACK screen at first. BUT! I have installed version GF v3.8.5 over my last version of GF and I had, to get rid of the "black screen" effect, RESET my video card's settings AFTER I installed G-Force's new version! Once I did that and I had set my video card's settings on the EXPANDED monitor mode I was able to see the effects of G-Force's "Span All Monitors" mode
which is basically seeing the same screensaver on two or more monitors.

Does anyone know of a DUAL screensaver launcher type program?

Example, take the windows timed screensaver launcher program and add the same settings available in it AGAIN and then add the support to activate (if a second monitor is attached and active, that is...) or deactivate the screensaver manually on the second monitor and or turn off the 1st, 2nd, or both monitors simultaneously or individually.


So, for example, you are working on your primary monitor and you have just the desktop background (or, possibly, valuable information) that you want to keep on the second monitor or desktop but you just want to temporarily turn on the 2nd monitor's screensaver ONLY, either manually or set to a specific time-limit, say in 5 minutes, automatically.

I stumbles upon a program called Monitor Control , but I don't think it has separate screensaver manual activation features?

Anyone have any Ideas on my idea? LOL!

More than likely... AND don't forget to configure the G-Force screensaver option under the screensaver tab!

I would try UPDATING your video card's drivers first...I know Nvidia has new drivers coming out every so often to keep up with the newest BIOS, and Windows Updates... so I am taking a wild guess and say ATI does, also.
