gforce and tractor 3

Post by statdoc »

I'm currently using the tractor 3 program off of my MAC to mix house music tracks. I would love to use gforce and have it projected onto a projection screen while playing. Two questions here; first, how do I sync gforce to play with the tracks off of this mixing program and second, will I need a second computer to play the gforce visuals as the mac I use to mix will need to have tractor displayed so I can see what I'm mixing. Is there a way I can run the visual to a projector off the same computer while I am at the same time displaying the digital music mixing program on the computer screen? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance

your mac needs to have a video out like svideo or hdmi that will connect to your projector then you need to use the line in source from your tractor 3 program for GF to listen to.

hook up the projector start GF right click the screen go to audio input source and select line in and you should be all set

There are also programs for windows (I dont know about Mac) that link different audio related programs by "Virtual" cables if you dont want to run a line in back to your computer. They use no CPU power at all which is great and will mean almost no lag between sounds and visuals.
