SoundSpectrum Darkroom

Post by Truus »

I've just download the new version of GF 3.5.7, but when I open SoundSpectrum Darkroom then I get this:
The specified visual engine is either not compatible with this version of SoundSpectrum Darkroom or could not be opened.

What's is wrong with this?

We'll be releasing a new version of SoundSpectrum Darkroom within a week or two... We had to bump our API for SoftSkies, so SoftSkies 1.0 and G-Force 3.5.7 won't work until we bump SSD with the API change as well.

Thank you Andy for your reply, I can handle the wait of two weeks :-)
In the mean time I'll enjoy the beauty of the new G-Force.

Darkroom

Post by rpboriordan »

Andy I've experienced the same problem as Truus... I guess I will also wait for the new version. Just a thought... maybe you guys should let people know that there is a new version coming out and they should wait until it is released before downloading Darkroom.

SSD

Post by Piddlepants »

I'm abit confused here because I just purchased G Force Platinum 2 days ago version 1.2.7? But now I'm hearing to use SSD I need no less than version 3.0.1 for G Force?

Why was I sold 2 days ago an old version or am I missing something here?

Any help appreciated.

Save me from Sinbad And The Eye Of The Tiger :-) :P

Darkroom Coming?

Post by brightblack »

I too was waiting for darkroom to appear. Any news on this?

I hate to say though that my plan was to render movies to play on the Aquos LCD in the living room, but in the meantime I've got an XBOX360 and use the Jeff Minter visualiser in that instead. Sorry about that.

ANY news about Soundspectrum Darkroom?
I'm considering updating but this is important

I'm not sure about this but, with all the new progs and new OS coming down the line SD may have to be delayed so that it will be compatible with whats being released. hopefully SS will be able to get things together and finally offer a version for windows xp, vista, and of course whatever system Mac uses.

I would have patients and see what happens. Ive been waiting for a long time for a windows version. :D

Both Windows and Mac versions are coming; sorry for the delay. We ran into a couple of unexpected Quicktime issues that are delaying the release. No time estimate yet, but we're working on it. Thanks for your continued support!

1 month later and we are still waiting :)
I thought I'll put some comment here, so this topic is again under the attention of all the SSD people.

Darkroom Studio

Post by antisosha1 »

I just wanted to chime in that i have been dutifully waiting for a functioning Darkroom Studio for windows, at which point I will pay almost any price for it with reason provided it can provide the simple function of rendering to an avi. Until that point, I really cant see paying for g-force. Winamp is nice and all, but I have idea that span further than the moment at hand. =8)

Hey all. I'm working on a project for my employer, creating some visualizations for some audio montages. This is pretty much the exact tool i need to get the job done! I'd love to know if there's an updated ETA for Darkroom, or even if there's an alpha or beta i could get involved with. I'd love to help out if i can! Also, could mean some extra licensing revenue for soundspectrum ;)

Thanks!
Bryan
