Mediacenter is crashing

Post by seppobirder »

Hi,
I am using whitecap in the Win 7 Mediacenter and after a few minutes the mediacenter crashes "Mediacenter stopped working" (ehshell.exe).

In WMP whitecaps works perfectly without any crashes.

Is this a known problem?

are you using the 64 bit version of windows 7?

if so whitecap will work if 7 runs the 32bit version of wmp which is included with windows 7, not sure if WMC has a 32 bit counterpart anymore.

I am using the 32bit version of Windows 7 otherwise it would not be available in VMC or in the VMC settings menu.

Somehow it's causing a crash of the eshell.exe process after a while. I have tried the following and changed the play order to random and then it did not crash anymore.

Thanks for the info, I have just updated to new version. Unfortunately I still get the same error in Windows Mediacenter.

Do you have any clue what the error could be?

I do not have any clue as too the source of your problem but since the new whitecap is also doing this I would tend to think that there may be an issue with how your comp is set up. update all your video drivers. If that doesnt help open a support ticket with soundspectrum
