I recently installed the trial version of WhiteCap and was so impressed that I ponied up the $$ to purchase it. Worked fine...for a while. Now, when the screensaver kicks on (WhiteCap Platinum), it runs about 20 seconds before it freezes, then goes back to the desktop, then relaunches the screensaver. When I run it as visualizer in iTunes, same issue. When I run the standalone version, same issue. Even V-Bar is crashing! Tried re-installing (is there a way to uninstall first?) but problem remains
you can uninstall GF by clicking the uninstall exe found in the sounspectrum/whitecapfolder.
its always a good idea to uninstall the old version instead of doing an overwrite install. after you uninstall whitecap delete the second soundspectrum folder found in (your documents/your user folder/application data/ soundspectrum)

Its very simple, look in the whitecap folder found in your program files in the soundspectrum folder and you will see an uninstaller named uninstall.exe

Don't have a "soundspectrum" folder - in my Applications folder, there is a Whitecap folder, but it only has the V-Bar and Standalone applications, no uninstaller.

what operating system are you running?
I dont know anything about OS-X
make sure you have your computer set for you to see all hidden files and search your computer for these terms, Whitecap, Whitecap.DLL, and soundspectrum
delete all of them including the Whitecap .DLL which will be in your players plugin folder somewhere. Once they are gone WC is effectively uninstalled. then clean your registry and restart. now you can try again.
OK, found instructions on how to "uninstall" Whitecap from OS-X. Unfortunately, after uninstall and reinstall, the problem is still there. Any other ideas?
I too have run into the same problem under OS X. Worked since day one till today now none of the Whitecap Programs will stay running for more then 3 seconds. Grr..

By any chance do you have either Boot Camp or Parallels Desktop operating on your machine? I installed them not too long before Whitecap crapped out.
Just received an email from tech support. They say "Sorry for the inconvenience, but we've subsequently released a new version of WhiteCap that fixes this issue. If you download and install the latest version, you'll be all set. "
I'll post back later today with my results...

OK, the new download seems to work just fine (ran w/o uninstalling the previous version). Looks like they are on the ball fixing problems. Yeah for tech support!
