i still encounter a problem with quite a few patterns that when i press
Shift Y -- in an effort to trigger the appearance of a jpg... that all i get
is an error-sound... and nothing happens.

thanks for that tip. The result was that my photos were now considerably clearer... but still tending to get buried and obliterated under busy patterns. I will have to experiment further -- to find a way of reducing the visual "competition"... it would be so useful if others could provide links to p...

i do not find a way to specify "background" or "foreground" for jpgs... they appear to be background by default and barely visible much of the time. so that is another issue i seek assistance with.... also, although i can sometimes call up a jpg (pressing shift Y) i cannot do so invariably. I am using V 3.9 Platinum on a Mac. I understand that I should be able to capture a sequence in G-Force and export the contents in Quicktime -- but i have not found any documentation so far as to how best to do that.
