Where did you edit the PREF_SPRITE_INTERVAL and DURATION? If you do it in the boot.txt, GF may already have cached the values in
C:\Documents and Setting\username\G-Force\Preferences.txt
or similar. Have a look in there and check the sdur and sint are set as you want them.
