I can't speak for WMP because I do not have it installed or running. But from what I can see using the standalone with my player of choice which is the AIMP player, there are no issues. I have the audio sensitivity set at 6.43 which seems to be a good place for timing and frame rate is set to 60FPS....

Good Question, I do not use any steaming service. I have tons of music on my pc though. would be shame if I couldn't enjoy the new Stuff
