Thanks for that excellent analysis. It seems to fit all the observations I have. The help file points out that G-Force's internal color processing is done in 8-bit mode and that you should see no difference in the color patterns when selecting 8, 16 or 32 bit display, and I also see that. About the ...

Just installed latest G-Force Gold (2.7.3) and cover art problem is still there. I can also confirm that rather than just being a "256 color" problem, the color in the cover art (when the problem appears) "rotates" with the colors in the G-Force display itself. That is, the distorted colors in the c...

I thnk I may have some insight into what's going on.... When GF enters or exits fullscreen mode, still has the image format from the previous mode. When a new track comes up, GF will make fresh cover art. So, when you see a problem w/ cover art, switch to a new track w/ cover art, *then* display co...

Marc01, Just to avoid some possible confusion, the setting that seems to enable or disable the "weird color" cover art effect is "bit depth" (number of bits per pixel, which relates to total number of displayable colors), not "bit rate" (which is bits per second). You can change this via a "Shift M"...

I wonder if maybe you have not yet seen the effect that this topic has been discussing. The "posterized" or "inverse color" effect is a bizzare coloration of the poster art, where the colors sometimes even seem to rotate with the color scheme of the visualizer. It is not just that the cover art is b...

RE: Cover Art
Just wondering if there is any progress on the "posterized" or "inverted color" problem with cover art in 8 bit mode. Problem still exists for me in the new gold 2.7.2.

Re: COVER ART/10.3.6/itunes 4.7/GF Gold

You guys are awesome and so is your product. (I tried it also with some hypnosis tracks in itunes.. whooa.. Timothy Leary lives on!!!!) M Ple...

I have also had the "posterized" (or "negative image") artwork for the last couple of versions of G-Force Gold. I am using a 800 MHZ Ti PowerBook with Mac OSX 10.3.6 and iTunes. The mangled artwork only happens at the screen depth of 8 bits. It's OK at 16 and 32 bits, but both of those are labeled "...
