Sinedots-Kaleidoscope backgrounds

I've been using fractal backgrounds in G-Force, but wasn't really happy with this look. So searching for a way to create better backgrounds, i found the Sinedots II plug-in for Paint Shop Pro. Then i'm using the Kaleidoscope plug-in from Mehdi to make some awesome backgrounds, sized to fit my visual...

Youd hafta ask chkman about quadrants. Unions are simple config files that use one parameter called ALFA, which serves as the catalyst for smushing the two effects together. They can use A and D variables just like Flowfields to generate some randomness. A folder containing Unions should be in your...

Re: Come to think of it...

G-Force does indeed have at least something relative to genetic agorithms or hybridization schemes...the Flowfield Union. As the name suggests, these are implemented at various times during the program's run to "marry" two flowfields together. Now, depending on the flows being united, sometimes the...

Here's a config i'm currently working on, trying to improve the music response. I'm frustrated (or maybe just tired) and not entirely happy with the response. I wanted to make the speed of the "springs" spin (not rotate) in time to the music. Anyway, i think it's very nice as is. Any tips for improv...

Thanks for the suggestions, i'll try them. I actually spent a lot of time trying to optimize the Steps and NUM parameters. There is so much randomness in this config, i got very bug-eyed from watching for differences. :-)

JayPro wrote:Simply add "bass +" at the very beginning of these two statement lines.

Looking back, I should've clarified along those lines.
No problem, i understood what you meant. After all, "bass +" won't work at the end of a statement. :-)

It's a little to complicated for me to describe; but if you have a Waveshape called Examle Spectrum, read the slashed-out comments concerning NUM and Steps and it may help you understand better. Thanks. I do have the Example Spectrum waveshape. I'll study the comments and hopefully i can include wh...

Stps and NUM question

I had a wild idea to use the audio access values in the "Stps" and "NUM" parameters. To see if this was possible i looked at many waveshape configs, but didn't find any using this idea. I decided to try it anyway, using variations of these parameters ... Stps="BASS*100" Stps="BASS+fft(s)*300" Stps="...

Ok, i'll be the first to contribute a config to this thread. I'm not totally happy with the music response, but the best i could do. It's ok, i still like it. Any ideas for responsiveness? //Waveshape name: DD-Knots Aspc=1 Stps=100 B0="(1+.4*fft(s))" B1="pos(sin(.35*sin(t))+1)/2*pi" B2="sin(pi/2-B0)...

Thanks for the great help, JayPro. I now have a version with your "A" variables added, and a version with the "A" variables added along with your suggestion for more responsiveness. Both versions are improvements over my original.
