Although not really a "DJ" application, I very often do the dual monitor stuff on my laptop and projector using G-Force with J River Media Center.

I too would like to know what "DJ" applications are best for this.

I have to agree, as hard as it may be to accept, a fresh install would be the best way to fix your problem. Plus you'll get all the other benefits of having a fresh install.

... - sometimes, when the scenes transition, I see a noticeable pause. I have a pretty beefy box, so I imagine a lot of people would be noticing the same. This is an unfortunate necessity at the moment, although most scenes shouldn't have a pause, and those that do should have a small pause at best...
