iTunes store
Ahhhh.... that is true, yes. I tend to stick with CDs and loading to a file format I could play on most things. I purchased a track once (an internet exclusive). About a month afterward I had a spate of PC hiccups had to reinstall windows three times over three months after which I wasn't abl...

all I'm sayin is that if you want to use GF you can by using another player like winamp (no probs there !) or you can keep frustrating yourself by trying to using GF with itunes (which I dislike strongly) for some of the reasons you've pointed out and a bunch of other issues that have nothing to do...

iTunes 7.1
Well 7.1 has been released and it's still not playing ball with GForce. I sent feedback to Apple but you get the feeling you're just feeding into a black hole... :? 7's performance is pretty lousy as well I find. If I have more than one or two apps open at the same time playback gets jittery....

iTunes 7 and GForce problems
Thanks for that guys. I guess this will all be resolved in time. At present I'm sticking with iT6. Interestingly an early reveiw on CNet gave it a good panning for being so processor intensive. This now appears to have been "ahem" moderated to a more " great features , but your computer might run li...

iTunes 7 and GForce problems
I've re-examined the problem on my desktop PC. (1Ghz AMD, 1GB Ram, Win XP) This had iT6.0.5 and GF3.5.5 on it. No problems. Installed iT7. Selectd GF visualiser and started it up. Start up logo appeared in the library window and then nothing. Pressed return to get GF in full scrren mode and get a bl...

Drat!
Meant to say that when I installed 7 and tried to run GForce, initially it was just within the library window, so I just pressed return and it went full screen.
Either way the music and visualiser felt as though the PC had just switched to a mid 90's PC simulation.

iTunes 7 on a PC
Whoa spooky! I've just posted on 7 and then came back to find you post. After upgrading to 7, my laptop ground down to a crawl if I tried to run GForce. I didn't consider reinstalling GF as I've never done so before when moving from one iTunes version to the next. Perhaps I should have? I'm back on ...

iTunes 7 problem?
Hi, Just a quick post to say that I've had a little trouble after upgrading iTunes7. For some reason the music playback whilst trying to run GForce grinds down to a stuttering mess. I'm running on a Dell Inspiron 6000 with 1GB of Ram and Windows XP. I uninstalled 7 and went back to 6.0.5 and...

Making a jpg or bmp fit the screen
Hi, If you look in the Sprites folder you should see a text file called (Default).txt. In this file are detailed a number of flags that specify how an image file is displayed. As I understand it, if you place an image file directly into the Sprites folder it will automatically be stretched or shrunk...

Background sprite and GF3.
Hi Guys, I know this is really, really late in the day but I thought I ought to just finish off this post. Got back to UK to find GF3 (Platinum! Thanks Andy!) and what can I say but WOW! To my mind the sprites presentation seem better than 2.8. Mind you it could be a case of abscence making the hear...

Hi Duane I'm still tinkering with this on and off (other things have cropped up that I've needed to deal with) and frankly I'm not really sure. :? I've changed the iMap value from 2.5 to 1 and to 0.8. I've also extended the time that background sprites are up for, to see how colourmap and flowfield ...

Hi Toby, Seems like we have a great deal in common. Glad to hear that you get the same level of enjoyment out of GForce as I do. I've been using it since version 2.0 and I also have been wowed by what is a great piece of software. As you say it just keeps getting better and better and I too look for...
