I can't imaging how many won't be so patient, as I am sure there are a good many who have just installed the iTunes update on their PC and will surely be experiencing the same frustrating issue.

Yup, I am an official victim to this scenario, so no Aeon or G-Force in my iTunes until enough people complain about this for development to fix this issue.
