Yep, I'm seeing this too.

Latest trial versions of G-Force, SoftSkies, Whitecap - none of them work in J River Media Center. They appear in the visualizations menu, but selecting them just reverts to Cover Art.

New install on a clean system, too.

I am also seeing this problem, with JRMC12, G-Force and Softskies. It is particularly notable when changing the size of the display window - eg. going from Playing Now to Display view, or Display to Fullscreen. G-Force does not work at all in Theater View. I don't get a hard crash - rather, the visu...

Integration with other VJ software. It would be wonderful to be able to launch G-Force and Winamp from within Resolume, VJockey, Pilgrim, etc.

You could use those programs already well developed MIDI, screen, automation interfaces, and G-Force could focus on putting up amazing visuals.

Are you editing the examples in the G-Force folder in the J River Media Center directory? Note that a separate copy of G-Force is installed for every media player.

I think you are right - I suspect the path to the cover art has become disrupted, probably because i moved the music to another drive.

Sometimes also on the server. error decompressing cover art (error 55013) what can it be? it appears on the white cap console. a similar error occ...

Evolution in action

I've been using G-Force for a while - over a couple of years. I noticed that at first, a lot of the presets seemed to be exploring features of the program, and were sometimes a bit garish. Lately, however, everything is just beautiful. The new color maps and flowfields are really harmonious and love...

Classical music & G-Force

Well, I tried something that should have been obvious... Mozart & Bach do FANTASTIC things with G-Force. Unlike most dance (techno, trance) music, which seems to mostly drive overall amplitude (beat), the classical music seems to evoke more complex responses. In particular, waveshapes which reflect ...

Some useful backgrounds - Yantras

Yantras are a type of mandala used in India as an aid to meditation. I've put a collection of them here:

http://www.villamil.org/Yantras.zip

They make very nice auto backgrounds for G-Force. You should probably invert the colors and resize them to your chosen screen resolution.

Looking for flowfields...

I just realized that I wiped the Plasmaflorichedon (sp?) flowfield when I reinstalled GF2.6.2, and that the post containing it was in the old discussion board. Anyone have a copy or can repost?

Where are prefs stored?

Where are the persistent settings for G-Force stored? I'm think of parameters like response and source scale. I can't find a prefs.txt file in the G-Force directory under J River Media Center. After reinstalling G-Force recently I noticed that both of the scaling factors had been reset to 0.0 (not 1...

Well, I find the G-Force graphics quite stunning. If you (the user) put a little effort into configuring sprites, changing the color maps and defining new waveshapes/flowfields, it can look really different. (Rovastar - I know you've done far, far more in this direction than almost anyone!) The hypn...
